BOURN & KOCH DESIGNS UNCOMMON PRODUCT FOR UNCOMMON APPLICATIONS
We long have been known for rebuilding, repairing, recontrolling and remanufacturing many old legacy machine designs. We've made old Motch's, Springfield's, New Britain's, Fellows, DeVliegs and many others into new machines again with the innovative application of servo drives, linear drives, direct drives, and CNC controls and ingenious mechanisms.
But we also innovate new designs for uncommon applications for uncommon product. Perhaps a unit (8) station transfer machine like the layout below, or a double headed CNC gear shaper for herringbone and doube helical gears, or a large hob resharpening machine for very large hobs, or a sink grinder, or a wrapping machine for Kevlar.

Bourn & Koch Extended Bed 600H CNC (6) Axis Horizontal Hobbing Machines
Bourn & Koch's extended bed 600H CNC (6) Axis Horizontal Hobbing Machines provide cost reductions in manufacturing long shafts for both domestic and international customers. These machines are designed to accommodate long shaft parts, respectively, of 100", 148", 180" and 280". Machines are equipped, depending on the customer, with full enclosures, partial enclosure, or traveling controls with a traveling splash screen. Machines for applications to 550" (14 meters) length have been engineered.

The B&K Fellows HS1280-300 Hydrostroke Gear Shapers replaces the old 50-8 and FS1270-300 Hydrostroke gear shaper designs. The quick return principle of the Hydrostroke remains the key benefit feature of the design. What makes the clever electro-mechanical HS design of interest to users around the world for machines in the 50"-60" (1280 - 1500 mm) size range is not only the improvement of the heart of the Hydrostroke principle, but the 50% reduction in the number of piece parts previously used in the FS design series and its super rigid frame.
