Remanufacturing

Why Rebuild or Remanufacture?

We can return your machine to "like-new" condition. We have in our archives the original documentation for most Bourn & Koch machine brand models. Our facility was built to facilitate a timely and efficient machine tool rebuilding process in order to minimize the downtime of your machine.

Our Machine Renewment Program:

  • Rescrape/Realign - Realign existing machine geomety
  • Rebuild - Restore machine to "like-new" OEM condition
  • Remanufacture - Upgrades a manual machine by adding a CNC control, updating the electrical and mechanical components, and performing a complete machine rebuild. It is equivalent to a current design machine having all the parts replaced, remanufactured or determined acceptable to machines tolerances and performance.
  • Retrofit - Enhance machine with PLC and CNC technology upgrade

Program Descriptions

Rebuilding:
The purpose of a rebuild is be bring the machine back to an as new condition with the same level of control and electrics. This involves restoring a machine its "as good as when it was new" condition by replacing all bearing and seals and inspection of all components. Major defective parts are reviewed with the customer and replaced at additional cost to restore the machine to its original mechanical specifications and operating condition. The electrical components on the machine and the electrical panel are inspected and replaced as necessary.

Remanufacturing:
This process involves taking a "manual" machine, adding a CNC control and updating the electrical components, as well as performing a complete machine rebuild from the base up. This machine typically does not currently have or never has had a modern CNC control on it.

Retrofitting:
This involves installing or replacing the existing NC or CNC control and, if necessary, servo drives and motors on machines that currently have servo axis drives. This machine currently has as NC or CNC control. This scope does not include mechanical rebuild.
